For this project we were tasked to brand something that serves very little purpose and takes up space but re-purpose and design it in a way that is visually and functionally appealing.

In my fridge at home, there is a massive bag of condiment packets from whenever my family gets delivery, takeout, or food from a store. We don’t like wasting food, so we store packets in the fridge, hoping one day we will find a use for it. But they are sadly forgotten about. The bag gets bigger and bigger and then eventually thrown out.
Pack A’ Spaltz takes those condiment packets and re-purposes them for hours of fun with your friends or family. Reach into the box, take some ketchup for your fries, throw them at your friends, and let the games begin!
I emphasized the “splat” throughout the design to add a playful touch because this product would be aimed at a younger audience to play with. I was inspired by Gushers, and Troli packaging and their use of colors as well as the playful feel they give while marketing food. I also grabbed inspiration from Nerf and how they design their packaging since they are also a product aimed at the younger audience.
The condiments and colors I chose for my packaging were Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Hot Sauce, and Barbeque Sauce.
I wanted a bold, friendly typeface paired with a bold, easy to read typeface to emphasize the playfulness throughout the brand further
